How Does the Emsella Treatment Work?

The Emsella treatment is designed to help you strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. You may have tried Kegel exercises to achieve this on your own, but progress can be quite slow. Once the muscles in the pelvic floor are weakened, especially after prostate surgery or vaginal childbirth, it can be very difficult to strengthen them.

Emsella stimulates the deep muscles of the pelvic floor using high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology (HIFEM). An Emsella treatment is the equivalent of about 12,000 Kegel exercises. The strengthened muscles restore neuromuscular control, which dramatically decreases urine leakage, the constant urge to use the bathroom, and vaginal laxity.

The Emsella treatment is not painful, but you will feel mild contractions at a fast pace. You will be comfortable enough to read a book or look through your phone. Because Emsella is non-invasive and gentle, once your treatment is complete you can continue on with your day as you normally would.

Emsella Candidates

People with mild to moderate bladder leakage are likely ideal candidates for Emsella. Candidates should meet the following requirements:

Do not have metal implants
Are generally in good health
Do not have pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices

Results
