Age and environmental factors cause damage to the skin. Collagen and elastin are broken down and weakened, causing signs of aging, including laxity. Ultherapy is designed to penetrate the skin and tighten from the inside, unlike lasers, which work from the outside, causing injury to the skin surface, which results in downtime for healing and redness. The ultrasound waves produced by Ultherapy deliver energy to the deeper layers of the skin, the same structural layer that is tightened in a surgical facelift procedure. The effect is seen over 2 – 3 months after the procedure.

What to expect before Ultherapy

One of our skin care specialists will clean your skin and apply a topical cream to numb the skin. In most cases, an anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen is given along with a medication to help you relax for the duration of the procedure.

What to expect during Ultherapy

A cool gel will be applied to the skin surface to better conduct the ultrasound waves. A transducer will be applied to the skin surface to deliver the treatment. Depending on the number of areas to be treated, the procedure may take 1 to 2 hours.

What to expect after Ultherapy

In very few cases there may be some bruising. In most cases, there may be some tenderness at the site of the treatment. There may be some temporary numbness. There is no downtime.

Follow Up

Most patients have just one treatment. Some patients will come in to have another area treated or to have an additional treatment after one year or so for maintenance. The effect can last as long as three years.

What is Unique About the Ultherapy Décolletage Treatment?

While there are many energy-based devices on the market to treat wrinkles and lines on various surfaces of the skin, the Ultherapy Décolletage Treatment is now the ONLY non-invasive procedure specifically indicated by the FDA to improve lines and wrinkles on the chest .

Check out the Décolletage Treatment Patient Video:

Background: Dominique, 52, Beauty Journalist
Motive: After getting great results from her full-face and neck Ultherapy lifting treatment, Dominique opted to have her décolletage treated to improve lines and wrinkles on that exposed area.

Key Benefits of the Ultherapy Décolletage Treatment:

  • It’s non-invasive.
  • There’s no downtime.
  • It takes just 30 minutes.
  • It’s a safe ultrasound treatment.
  • It’s a single procedure.
  • It improves lines and wrinkles on the chest.
  • It stimulates the body’s natural collagen production.

How does the Ultherapy Décolletage Treatment work?

Unlike lasers, radio frequency, surgery and other technologies, non-surgical Ultherapy bypasses superficial skin to deliver the right amount of ultrasound energy at the right depths and the right temperature. This energy triggers a natural response under the skin, jumpstarting the regenerative process that strengthens weak collagen and produces fresh, new collagen. The treatment also uses traditional ultrasound imaging, which allows practitioners to see the layers of tissue they are treating, ensuring the treatment energy is delivered to where it will be most beneficial.

What kind of results are expected?

Some patients see an initial effect right after their treatment, but the real results are visible after about three months as new collagen works smooth skin on the chest. Most patients enjoy fresh, young collagen for at least a year after their procedure. As the skin continues to age, future touch-up treatments can help keep pace with the natural aging process.
